Flores takes RGA February Ace

Sonny Flores clinched the Refaluwasch Golfers Associatio’s February Ace of the Month title.
Flores shot a net 67 during the February qualifying tournament early last month on the west course of the Laolao Bay Golf & Resort and his score was unbeaten during the club’s Feb. 23 competition, also at the Kagman course.
Manny Mangarero came up three shots short of overtaking Flores, as the former carded a net 69 in the second tournament for February. Other RGA members who joined the February competitions were Dave Apang (70), Jordan Kosam (72), Loui Tilipao (73), Tony Benavente (73), Nick Guerrero (76), Uly Kapileo (78), Joe Saurez (79), Ray Tigilau (80), Tars Olopai (81), Harry Nakamura (85), and Arnold Palacios (85).
With the win, Flores now qualifies for the RGA Ace of the Aces, which will be held in December. Flores joins Nakamura, who won the January Ace plum.
Meanwhile, Mangarero won the closest to the pin contest on hole No. 7, as he birdied the par-4 hole.
