Flags lowered to half-staff

Gov. Ralph DLG Torres directed that all CNMI and federal flags in the CNMI be flown at half-staff starting Feb. 16 in respect for the victims of the shooting tragedy in Parkland, Florida.

President Donald J. Trump had ordered that the flag of the United States to be flown at half-staff as a mark of respect for the victims of the senseless act of violence perpetrated on Feb. 14, 2018, in Parkland, Florida.

The flags are to be flown at half-staff until sunset, Feb.19, 2018.

Torres signed a similar proclamation last Feb. 16, directing that the CNMI flag be flown at half-staff for the same length of time. (PR)
