First step toward sanity

Someone should tell our beleaguered president that leadership entails keeping people united during hard times (like the ones he’s created) where opposing sides can sit down and work things out. His idea of leadership is to pit voters, constituents, families, neighbors against each other because it’s “his way or no way” pronouncements, which are quite similar to how a dictator becomes a so-called leader. Like Hitler, Mussolini and Tojo, Trump is destined to meet a similar fate if his party doesn’t demand he curb his vile behavior.  That’s what this nation is all about. JFK said it best: “Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country.” Trump’s idea is, “What can you do for me, or else!” Such divisive, mean-spirited braying by our president, “’If I am impeached, there will be a Civil War”’ is not the way to go. We don’t need a dictator to lead by derisive, divisive, scandal-ridden agendas. Impeachment is the first step to get us back to some sense of sanity.
