A CELEBRATION OF LOCAL ART
‘First Friday’ at Marianas Creations
To promote local artists and kick off what is being planned as a once-a-month activity, Marianas Creations will host the first of its “First Friday” series today, Sept. 6, at its location on Micro Beach Road, from 5pm to 9pm.
It will feature local artists and their art, and will give the community a chance to view the art of the Marianas. Several artists, such as Greg Elliott, David Butterfield, Jose Quan, and others, will be there to discuss their work.
In addition to art, Cristianos Saipan, a popular local food truck serving East Coast flavors, will be on-site with their regular menu of cheesesteaks, quesadilla, nachos, and more, along with a special First Friday offering. Marianas Creations will also be serving local drinks, including beer from Saipan Brewing Co., handcrafted cocktails, coffee, and locally produced fruit sodas.
“This First Friday event will be a chance for [residents] and tourists to view local art and discuss it with the artists. We will also be introducing our café, bar, and shop to people and showcasing the local products we offer,” said Elina Gharti Chhetri, owner of Marianas Creations. “Marianas Creations will be hosting similar First Friday events each month.”
The “First Friday” concept is a popular event series hosted in cities around the world. Typically, the events focus on promoting local art and culture.
Marianas Creations is currently soliciting for artists interested in showcasing their work to contact the shop. Additionally, they are seeking anyone who produces local products to contact the shop.
Marianas Creations is located next to Everest Kitchen and Bridge Capital LLC on Micro Beach Road. They can be reached on Facebook, Instagram, by phone 488-1924, or email sales@marianascreations.com. (PR)
