Atalig provided the information after DeLeon Guerrero filed an Open Government Act request to obtain the latest information about the CNMI’s expenditure plan for the money it got via ARPA.

The non-profit awardees are the Commonwealth Cancer Association, American Red Cross-NMI Chapter, Northern Marianas Protection & Advocacy Systems Inc., Saipan Cares for Animals, Karidat Social Services, Mariana Islands Nature Alliance, Center for Living Independently in the CNMI, Micronesian Legal Services Corp., and CNMI Women’s Association.

Atalig said that, in accordance with the CNMI’s ARPA spending plan, non-profits were allocated $4 million in fiscal year 2021 and $6 million in fiscal year 2022, for a total of $10 million.
