A final night of magical music with Roman Rudnytsky
The Friends of the Arts will be sponsoring its second and final special concert this weekend with Roman Rudnytsky—a rare opportunity to listen to classical music, played by an internationally renowned pianist.
Rudnytsky provided a free public concert for the community this past weekend. In his last performance this trip, he will be playing in concert this Saturday, March 29, at 7pm at the Gov. Pedro P. Tenorio Multi-Purpose Center. The March 29 program will be open to all at the cost of $12 for FOA members, $15 for non-member adults, and $8 for students. Tickets will be available at the door or seats can be reserved by e-mailing Frank Gibson at flgibson@yahoo.com.
This March 29 program will include selections from such classical masters as Mendelssohn, Beethoven, Lizt, Debussy, Chopin and Grieg, performed by a modern day master. The pieces played will all be different from those performed at the March 22 concert.
A graduate of the famous Julliard School in New York, he also did additional studies at the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, Maryland and at master classes in Austria (the “Mozarteum”) and Italy.
During his two-week visit to Saipan, he traveled to many of the CNMI schools, including Tinian and Rota, playing and discussing music with the students. This is Rudnytsky’s fourth (or more) trip to the CNMI, last here in 2012. Rudnytsky travels at his own expense and donates his time to the community. The Friends of the Arts, with the help of sponsors from the Community, has hosted Rudnytsky’s stay.
