Filipino group joins call vs China ‘intrusion’ in West Philippine Sea
A group of Filipinos in the CNMI will be joining a planned worldwide movement tomorrow, July 12, to renew calls for China to respect international laws and Philippine sovereignty in the West Philippine Sea.
The US Pinoys for Good Governance-Marianas Chapter will hold the protest rally on Beach Road in San Jose. On Guam, it will be across the ITC Building, San Antonio Road in Tamuning.
The other protests will take place in front of China consulates or embassies and key areas in Manila, San Francisco, New York, Scotland, Canada, and other cities.
The planned global movement is intended to mark the third anniversary of the Philippines’ victory in an arbitration case it filed against China in 2013. The arbitration case resulted in a legal win for the Philippines last July 12, 2016.
USPGG will be joined in tomorrow’s rally by various groups such as the National Youth Movement for the West Philippine Sea, Global Filipino Diaspora Council, Migrante US and Migrante Youth, Malaya Movement, Network on China’s Aggression on the Philippines, and Bayan USA.
