Fiesta Resort hosts beach soccer anew next month
Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan’s 3rd Annual Beach Soccer Tournament is slated for Aug. 11 at the Garapan hotel’s beachside.
Organizers said late registration will be open from 7:30am to 9am and games start at 9:30am.
Teams are requested to show up at 7:30am so they can warm up and go over the rules with event organizers.
The entrance fee to participate is $10 per player and at least five players are required on a team. The entrance fee includes coupons for drinks and beverages that players can use during the competition.
Other beverages and food will also available sale during the event.
A raffle drawing will also take place where various prizes will be handed out from sponsors Pacific Trading Co., Tan Holdings, Docomo Pacific, Rota Water, and Kanoa Resort.
The event will feature two age divisions, a youth 18-and-under and an adult 18-and-above. Games will be played in a five-on-five format.
Organizers said $300 cash and individual trophies will be awarded to the winners with $200 for the runners-up and $100 for the third place finishers.
Second and third placers will be issued team trophies and sportsmanship awards will also be selected after the conclusion of the tournament.
