FEMA help still just a phone call away

Although the Disaster Recovery Center is closing today, Friday, the Federal Emergency Management Agency remains just a phone call away.

Typhoon Soudelor survivors who have registered with FEMA can call the toll-free registration number to get help with their application process.

Issues such as status updates, appeals and other questions can be checked by calling 800-621-3362.

“We want to emphasize that we are still here and still helping survivors,” said deputy federal coordinating officer Ryan Brown. “We and our CNMI partners will continue helping survivors throughout their recovery process.”

If you need to fax documents regarding your application, the CNMI is providing this service at the following locations: Saipan Mayor’s Office (Beach Road, Chalan Laolao); Joeten-Kiyu Public Library (Beach Road, Susupe); and The Aging Center (Sugar King Road, Garapan).

This service will be available at all locations weekdays, starting Tuesday, Oct. 13, between 7:30am and 4:30pm. (FEMA)
