FBI seeks man’s identity for a possible child endangerment

The FBI requests the public’s help in identifying the unknown male depicted in images being made available to the media. Investigators believe the individual may be able to help them identify and locate a teenager who may be in danger. The unidentified man may be traveling through California or neighboring states.

The unknown male was last seen driving a car with stolen Alabama license plate 58DZ806 on the rear of the vehicle. The blue car was similar in make and model to a Mazda Protégé. When last seen, on Sept. 29, the vehicle was missing the right rear hubcap and did not have a front license plate.

The unknown male appears to be a white male in his 50s or 60s. He has short-cut white/gray hair and a receding hairline. He was last seen with trimmed salt-and-pepper facial hair. The unknown male can be seen in the images wearing a dark colored T-shirt, blue jeans, white Nike high-top tennis shoes, and black prescription glasses. He has made claims to be from Hawaii, according to individuals who were in contact with law enforcement, and might be seen panhandling or sleeping in improvised shelters.

The unknown male may be in the company of a white female teenager. The unknown female was last seen with waist-length brown hair and wearing a brown t-shirt, blue jeans, and brown Nike tennis shoes.

 The current whereabouts of the unknown male are unknown. On Sept. 28 and 29, 2015, the unknown male and the female teenager were seen in Laguna Beach, California. On Sept. 12, 2015, they were seen at the Crossroads Shopping Center in Meridian, Mississippi. The unknown male was possibly in Bessemer, Alabama on Sept. 11, 2015.  It is likely the male and female drove from Mississippi to California between Sept. 12 and 28, 2015.
