The Antonio C. Atalig Memorial Library on Rota celebrated its first Family Fun Literacy Day on April 28.

This was in conjunction with the National Library Week proclamation that was signed by Rota Mayor Efraim M. Atalig on April 10, with Commonwealth Library Council vice chair Asapmar Ogumoro in attendance.

The event included an array of activities that drew in patrons from Songsong and Sinapalo to enjoy a day of fun. From face painting, crafts, balloon giveaways, a color station, a slime demonstration/giveaway, to bead making, and raffle prizes, the day was packed with many activities.

The Rota Public Library also did a community literacy demonstration at the Department of Lands and Natural Resources, Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services, Division of Youth Services, and Division of Fish and Wildlife. (PR)
