Falcons rout McDonald’s in Majors

Noah Aguon fanned out six, while his three teammates drove in two runs each as the Falcons breezed past Team McDonald’s, 20-4, in the Majors division game in the 2018 Saipan Little League Baseball last Sunday at the Miguel “Tan Ge” Basa Pangelinan Ballfield.
Achilles Evangelista, Chris Pangelinan, and Leandro Sablan had two RBIs each for the Falcons, who scored 10 runs in the fifth inning to set up the blowout.
Aguon was tagged with four earned runs on six hits in four innings pitched, had no walks, and struck out six, including the the three batters he faced in the second—Corey Chambers, Dan Hodges, and Max Church.
Christian Gonzales came at the bottom of the fifth and forced Dillon Santos, J.J. Reyes, and Dylan Mister to ground out. The relief pitcher went on to end the game after picking up the Mister’s grounder and throwing it to first baseman Andre Iguel.
Evangelista, who was walked three times and struck out in his second at bat, and Pangelinan had their lone hits in the fifth—both singles. Evangelista’s two-RBI single drove in Aguon and Pangelinan, whose own hit allowed Iguel and Michael Tomokane to cross home plate.
Evangelista also had an RBI walk in the third to help Alfonso Taitano reach home. Aguon, meanwhile, went 3-for-4 with an RBI single and two runs, while Isabella Teigita, who struck out in her first at bat, had an RBI walk in the fifth.
Joel Deleon Guerrero went 2-for-2—both doubles against Aguon—and scored one run for Team McDonald’s, which committed 15 errors.
MINORS
Marlins 6, Comets 3
The Marlins scored three runs in the first inning on RBI walks in their game against the Comets.
Nick Sablan, Nathan Seman, and Ethan Dikito each had RBI walk, while Roque Pangelinan had an infield single for one of the two hits in the entire game.
Pangelinan pitched for the Marlins, allowing one hit, a single to Chris Agulto, with four strikeouts and three walks. He fanned out Eloy Guerrero then walked Peter Tomokane, who was left stranded after the game ended when Jordan Agulto had an infield fly. Pangelinan caught Agulto’s pop fly to end the match as games in the Minors division are limited to only one hour.
