Arby Yaguel pitched a complete game and the Falcons capitalized on the Braves’ 14 errors to post a 6-2 win in their Senior League division game in the 2018 Saipan Little League Baseball last Saturday at the Francisco “Tan Ko” Palacios Ballfield.

Yaguel gave up only six hits and with the help of his teammates’ defense, they limited their opponents’ offensive production and handed the Braves their first defeat this season.

The Falcons pitcher also tossed five shutout innings, from the second to sixth. He had no walks and struck out six batters while giving up one earned run after Leveque Iguel touched home plate on a sacrifice bunt by shortstop Josenio Alvarez in the first inning. Alvarez scored the other run for the Braves, reaching home on a throwing error by Yaguel at the top of the seventh inning.

The Falcons scored three runs at the bottom of the fourth inning, as the Braves’ defense turned sloppy.

Mark Norita, with one out, got on base on an Alvarez error and advanced on consecutive miscues by the Braves. J.V. Pangelinan was also safe in the last play.

Norita scored on a Tyrese Camacho throwing error, while Pangelinan had one run on another Braves missed play at home. Isiah Teigita followed suit and added another run off the eighth error by the Braves in the fourth.

Fielders 15, Comets 2
Donovan Deleon Guerrero led the Fielders’ six-run scoring surge in the fourth inning for the easy win over the Comets.

First baseman Deleon Guerrero went 3-for-4 with two runs and three RBIs, while Fielders catcher Trevon Lieto drove in two runs and scored once after going 3-for-3.

Jordan Babauta gave up four hits, struck out three, and walked two batters.

Sab Saures and Kian Aldan scored the two unearned runs for the Comets with the former touching home plate on a passed ball and the latter on a throwing error by Lieto.

The Fielders had 10 hits in the game, while the Comets committed 11 errors.
