SENIOR LEAGUE

Falcons 11, Lions 9

The Lions held an early 5-4 edge after two innings before the Falcons soared ahead, 11-5, in the bottom of the third. They loaded the bases after Frankie Lieto led off with a triple and scored off a sacrifice fly, which set up a three-RBI triple by Adolfo Roppul. He was then triple-homed by Frankie Norita who was driven to the plate by Lieto.

The Lions answered with four runs to start the fourth off a wild pitch, a two-RBI triple by Paul Celis, and a sacrifice fly, but the count would remain as such as both squads fell silent in the late innings.

Roppul batted 3-for-3 with three RBIs and two runs. Both Falcons’ Frankie Lieto and Lions Nathan Leon Guerrero went 3-for-3 with an RBI, a run, and base on balls.

Jets II 13, Hunters 2

Jets II cranked out 10 hits, six of which went for multiple bases as they lit up a trio of Lions pitchers.

Jets II notched runs in the first two innings and put it on cruise control from thereon. Jets II led it, 8-2, after three innings and added another in the fifth before threatening the early finish with four runs in the top of the sixth off errors and a two-run, inside-the-park homer by Jonathan Villagomez.

Villagomez was also dealing from the mound. His only hiccup came in the second inning when he allowed two runs off three walks, and some pitches in the dirt. He gave up just two hits, four walks, and a bean ball with seven strikeouts in six innings and batted 4-for-4 with two triples to go with his homer for three RBIs and two runs.

Jets 1 16, D-9ers 6

Jets I held a 6-4 advantage after three frames and maintained it at 8-6 heading into the sixth inning.

Jets I’s Quinson Blas started the engine with a base hit and scored off an error.

Then after a pair of strikeouts it looked as though the D-9ers were going to survive the frame, but a bean ball and an error allowed a two-RBI single by A.J. Cabrera and after another fumble in the infield, Jordan Taitano bagged an RBI single.

With two outs and two runners on base it was Blas who played the hero and drove in the two runs needed for the early decision. Mathew Maeda came around with Taitano.

He batted 4-for-5 with two RBIs and two runs. Maeda swung 2-for-4 with an RBI, four runs, and a base on ball, D-9ers’ Jeremy Atalig and M.H. Camacho both swung 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run.

JUNIOR LEAGUE

Red Sox 16, Lions 3

The Red Sox out-hit the Lions, 14-3, in the match and had no trouble advancing over its opponents as Kagman’s last two runs in the fifth inning were gifted from walks and wild pitching upon starter Jerald Cabrera’s departure.

The Sox went through its lineup for nine runs out of the gate and never looked back.

Winning pitcher Carbera gave up an earned run of three hits with two walks and three strikeouts in four innings.

He batted 3-for-3 with an RBI, three runs, and a base on ball. Roke Tenorio swung 3-for-4 with two RBIs and three runs. M.J. Sakisat went 2-for-2 with an RBI, three runs, and a base on ball. Lions’ Juden Joyner batted 2-for-2 with an RBI and a base on ball.

Red Sox 16, Jets 10

After falling behind, 0-6, early, the Red Sox resurrected a 7-6 edge in the third inning off six hits. Nathan Camacho cranked a two-RBI single, Jose Tyq hit an RBI triple with a stolen dish, and Beneil Taisacan bagged a RBI single.

Red Sox pitcher Camacho recovered nicely from a stumble in the second inning and struck out the side to close the top frame.

His teammates responded soon after in the fifth inning with a six-run surge built off a fielder’s choice, an error, a two-RBI triple by Jerald Cabrera, and wild pitches.

The Sox then added three more runs in the sixth before Camacho returned to the mound and pulled the plug on the Jets’ last ditch rally.

Camacho may have given up eight earned runs, but still went the distance and allowed seven hits, five walks, and a hit batsman with 14 strikeouts.

Red Sox’s Cabrera batted 4-for-5 with two RBIs and three runs.

Fielders 14, Enforcers 12

The Fielders let a 10-1 lead in the second inning get away from them as the Enforcers battled back to tie the game at 12-all in the last three innings of regulation.

Fielders pitcher Jonathan Camacho gave up just two hits and left his team with a promising 10-2 cushion after four innings, but the Enforcers refused to go quietly.

They managed three runs in the fifth from early walks and a triple by Cedric Ada and then hammered out six hits in the sixth, including a two-run inside-the-park homer by Caleb Takao to knot the match at 10-all. Ethan Lizama then tripled home Fred Sangao and was grounded home by Jeffrey Dela Cruz.

Then the count shifted to 12-all as both teams stepped up and added two more runs in the seventh, but in the end the Fielders’ Jerry Kintol led off with a triple and was doubled home by Kainoa Wanket; Wanket scored off an error.

Fielders reliever Jadrien Camacho recovered from his early struggles and managed to get it done on the second try.

Jonatahn Camacho busted a three-run inside-the-parker in the second inning; Kintol ripped two triples in the game; Wanket went 3-for-4 with two triples, an RBI double, three runs, and a base on balls; Matt Hamilton batted 3-for-5 with an RBI triple and two runs.

Enforcers’ Top 3 Henry Lizama, Cedric Camacho, and Takao all went 3-for-4.

Ol’Aces 32, Lions 0

It was a tough day at the office for the home team Lions on both sides of the plate. The Ol’Aces, on the other hand, had a field day and bashed 19 hits with 16 walks as they rotated through its line up six times.

Ol’Aces’ Verlance Secharmidal and Jessie Brel batted 4-for-5 and scored six times.

Winning pitcher Giovanni Taitingfong secured his no-hitter and gave up just two walks and a bean ball with six strikeouts in five innings

BIG LEAGUE

Hustlers 11, Fielders 9

The Hustlers took a 7-4 lead in the fourth inning off a pair of triples by MacGarette Duenas and McGary Scaliem. The latter scored off an error.

They then tacked on two runs in both the fifth and sixth innings before holding off a late rally by the Fielders in the final stand.

Hustlers’ Jeremy Lizama batted 4-for-4 with an RBI and three runs. Fielders’ Carl Camacho swung 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs.

Winning pitcher Brian Camacho was credited with the win, giving up three earned runs off five hits with seven strikeouts in four innings.
