Fajardo is SGA June Ace
Mariano Fajardo is the Saipan Golfers Association June Ace of the Month winner after registering the net score to beat last June 17 at the Coral Ocean Resort.
Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 3457 quartermaster topped a field of 11 after shooting a net score of 65. The winning total was built around a 92 gross (46-46) for the 27-handicapper.
Tony Deleon Guerrero came in second with his net 66. The 20-handicapper fired identical 43s in the front and back nines for a gross of 86.
Das Krishnan and Rick Kautz tied for third place with similar net scores of 70. The former, however, edged the latter via scorecard tiebreak to enter the Top 3.
Krishnan finished with a 40-40 for a gross of 80, which minus his 10 handicap, gave him the net score of 70.
Kautz, for his part, carded a 39-43 for a pre-handicap score of 82.
With the June win, Mariano now joins Edward C. Sablan (January), Frances M. Sablan (February), Nick C. Sablan (March), Larry I. Deleon Guerrero (April), and Alex Tudela (May) in the 2022 SGA Ace of the Year tourney.
