Dr. Celia Lamkin, Rosary Rally captain for the CNMI and Guam, said that 20 faithful also attended the rosary rally at the Sunset Alupang Gardens in Guam. She said the faithful in Guam would like to continue the same rosary rally every Saturday for the rest of the month of October.

On Saipan, the program started with the welcoming of the faithful followed by the universal Intentions of the Rosary rally such as conversion of America and the world, to stop anti-religious hatred within society, for national and local leaders to seek to honor God’s law and prayed for the wisdom and knowledge necessary to solve America’s and Commonwealth complex problems.

Sister Lucy Torres Reyes also gave special prayer requests for the healing of the sick, solutions to those who are suffering from severe personal problems and trauma, good physical and financial health of all participants, among other things.

Lamkin had a piano rendition for the song Immaculate Mary, The Angelus by Sister Jovy Brondo, the recitation of the rosary by Sister Lucy Reyes, Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary by Sister Cora San Gabriel, Prayer of Total Consecration by Sister Beng Tanghal, The Divine Praises by Sister Minda Domingo, and O Sanctissima by Lamkin.

Lamkin initiated the Public Square Rosary Rally in Guam in 2012 when she organized it and held it in a park pavilion in Tamuning, Guam.  At first, the rosaries were just held inside the church or church premises. But now, other religious groups hold the public square rosary rally in the park pavilions.

“I am very happy and feel so blessed with the success of the rosary rallies I organized on Saipan and Guam. I sincerely thank the Lord for making me continue my mission on this earth and to honor our Lady of Fatima. I just pray that next year, more people will participate,” she said.

The biggest public square rosary rally was in 2011 in front of the Mt. Carmel Cathedral in Susupe, which Lamkin organized with the late Escolastica ” Esco” Cabrera. It was followed by one in Garapan Fishing Base in 2012 that was attended by a hundred faithful.

The public square rosary rallies on Saipan and Guam are one of more than 12,000 rosary rallies in America and all over the world.
