The deadline for the expiration of second local stimulus cards that the CNMI government issued last year has been extended to Jan, 31, 2023.

According to an advisory last Thursday by the Division of Revenue and Taxation, it said the Local Economic Impact Payment 2 stimulus cards’ deadline for expiration is now set for Jan. 31 and the cards will be deactivated and funds deposited to your local stimulus card will no longer be available on Feb.1, 2023.

Taxpayers are encouraged to spend remaining funds within the allowable time frame.

“If you have been advised that your card was mailed to you but have not yet received your card within a reasonable time, please call DRT as your stimulus card may have been returned to our office. A valid photo I.D. and social security card is required to release the card to the authorized cardholder,” the DRT advisory states.
