Eucon garners top honors in statewide MathCourt
Several students in a private school along Gualo Rai garnered several top honors in the statewide CNMI Mathcourt competition.
The Public School System’s 2019 Mathcourt, held at Mount Carmel School last May 11, 2019, was filled with several Eucon International students getting top 10 honors.
The school notched a total of 16 wins, all coached by Bernadeth Satur and Nestor Tam.
“Eucon International School is very proud [to have] these individuals as [the school’s trainers],” a statement from the school noted. “…They are the best in their respective specializations.”
Fifth grade champion Nash Santos and 6th grade runner-up Vince Satur would be competing in the Elementary National Championship for mathleague.org in the Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.
Satur’s fellow 6th grader, Samuel Wang, came in fourth and would also represent the CNMI as an alternate, while Santos’ classmate, Alexandria Dysangco, placed fourth in the 5th grade.
Neil Santos represented Eucon in the third grade division and became champion, while schoolmate Athena Alcoy placed second in the second grade division. Noah Santos bagged the championship in both the K-1 division and the first-grade division, while Stacey Ramos was champion in the Kindergarten division.
Neil Santos and Athena Alcoy placed first and fourth place, respectively, in the grades 2-3 division of the competition while also coming in as champion in the 2-3 team division.
Nash Santos, Vince Satur, Samuel Wang, and Henry Xue collectively placed second in the grades 4-6 team division representing Eucon.
