Espinosa earned the coveted award for his notable showing in the regular season and consistent performance in the playoffs. The 6’0” Armatech player, who has a good shooting touch from the 3-point area, averaged nearly 17 points (16.7) in the round-robin regular season, scoring in twin digits in all but one of their four games.

The Marianas High School standout registered 24 points in their 72-51 victory over Blue Haus, had 20 in their 85-73 win against Gilas, and logged 16 in their 83-96 defeat at the hands of the Ol’Aces. The only time Espinosa failed to break into double figures (7 points) was in their 69-74 loss to regular season champion Sonics.

In the playoffs, Espinosa fired 20 markers to lift Armatech to a finals berth-clinching win over Blue Haus, 86-71. In the finals, he gained 13 points, 11 of them came in the fourth quarter as Armatech broke the Ol’Aces to steal the championship. His triple from the right key capped a pivotal 11-2 run and secured the win for Armatech as they led, 75-61, 2:12 to go in the final canto. Espinosa and Armatech went on to notch a double-digit winning margin in the finals, 78-66.

Meanwhile, Espinosa also made it to the Mythical Team, joining fellow Armatech player Kobee Mendoza, Sonics’ Jack Aranda, the Ol’Aces’ Jesse Santos, and Gilas’ Patrick Salalila.
