ESGR hosts job fair for Guard, Reserve, vets
The Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, Guam-CNMI Committee, is hosting a job fair as part of its Employment Initiative Program, which is designed to support the unemployed and underemployed National Guard and Reserve service members, veterans, and their spouses.
The job fair will take place today, July 19, at the Saipan World Resort, from 11am to 3pm.
The Employment Initiative Program, a new project under ESGR, is a comprehensive multiple agency program connecting employers with the talented pool of service members, veterans and spouses, with the intent of facilitating meaningful employment opportunities.
Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve is a Department of Defense agency established in 1972 to develop and maintain employer support for Guard and Reserve service. ESGR advocates relevant initiatives, recognizes outstanding support, increases awareness of applicable laws, and resolves conflict between service members and employers. Paramount to ESGR’s mission is encouraging employment of Guardsmen and Reservists who bring integrity, global perspective and proven leadership to the civilian workforce.
