Eskuelan San Francisco de Borja held its kindergarten and eighth grade graduation ceremony and undergraduate promotion and recognition day last May 27.

Six kindergartens and one junior high graduate received their diplomas and other special recognition awards.

Parents, friends, teachers, and specially honored guests witnessed the achievements of the graduates.

While the school junior high graduation only has one graduate, it was more about quality versus quantity.

“It’s our goal to give each of our student’s individual attention to help them reach their goals for themselves and prepare them for high school.   And being a small Catholic school, we have the ability to do that,” said administrator/principal Carmen H. Atalig.

“The day marks the culmination of a rigorous and action packed year filled with learning and growth and signifies a step forward. The graduates rightfully deserve the rewards and recognition that Graduation Day brings and it is both a pleasure and an honor to share this celebration with them and their parents,” added Atalig.

“Despite the challenges that Eskuelan San Francisco de Borja has faced along the way, I am proud of its progress and more especially of its graduates. I take pride in their historical event, and the progress of the school and most especially its students,” said board chair Edward Maratita Jr.

Maratita added, “The work and leadership of the administrator (Carmen Atalig) with the assistance of her seasoned teachers are exceptional. The graduates are proof of the excellent work at ESFDB.”

Graduating from the schools kindergarten program are Aaron Kyle J. Cortes, Edward Q. Hocog, III, Eianne M. Ladao, Keeff G. Matondo, Ryder S. Mendiola, and Ricalene U. Oropilla.

The following kindergarten graduates were given achievement awards in:

The lone junior high graduate and class salutatorian is Angelo S. Lucero.

The administration, faculty and staff, students, and board of direction would like to extend their appreciation the parents, Public School System Rota Board representative Tanya King and Sergeant Major Herman Atalig, Delegate Gregorio Kilili C. Sablan (Ind-MP), Sen. Teresita Santos (R-Rota), and Sen. Paul Manglona (Ind-Rota).
