The Environmental Top Model 2014 competition will kick off this Saturday evening at the Kanoa Resort’s Isla Café. The event will start off at 7:30pm.
The three-hour event will feature 17 candidates from different schools. They will compete in three categories: island wear, casual wear, and trash wear.

It is open to the public for free and drinks can be ordered at the outlets in Kanoa Resort.

Event coordinator Sharmaine Casquero said that the two winners—one male and one female—would get a chance to be in a commercial featured in “Good Days” from Japan.

Other prizes are cash, certificates from sponsors, and sash, which will be presented to the candidates.

Casquero said that Image in Motion is cooperating with the Bureau of Environmental and Coastal Quality for the Environmental Awareness Month.

EAM committee chair Cal Westergard said that the collaboration is an effort to teach kids to join in on the month’s awareness about the environment.

“I thank Image in Motion for helping to make this possible for the month and we are looking forward to the event,” he said.

The event is sponsored by IT&E, KFC/Taco Bell, ASKS Salon, Manila De Salon, Yuichiro Printing, and Kanoa Resort.
