The last pre-XTERRA/Tagaman race will be held this Saturday at PauPau Beach.
Dubbed as Enticer 3, the triathlon race this time will have three courses for both XTERRA and Tagaman participants. Registration starts at 6:30am for only $5 and the race begins at 7:30am.
For the swim leg in the waters off PauPau Beach, participants in the rookie course will swim only one lap, two for short course, and three for full.
Then in the bike leg for XTERRA (off-road), the rookie course will bring riders up right through Marianas Country Club, one million-gallon tank, left to the FEBC road, left down to Middle Road, and back to PauPau. For the run part, participants must turn right up the one million-gallon tank, turn around, and head back to PauPau.
In the short course, after the million-gallon tank, bikers should turn right and head to Kimikaze Trail, turn left and take the paved road to Santati Trail, turn left at the junction (instead of turning right to Cowtown), and take the paved road back to PauPau. In the run leg, from Paupau runners must go all the way to the end of La Fiesta, turn right up to the million-gallon tank, turn left and run along the trail in the opposite direction at the beginning of the bike course and back to PauPau.
For the full course, bike leg, after the Kimikaze Trail, bikers should cross the paved road en route to Autobahn, pedal through the trail and turn right to Grotto road, turn left and take the paved road to Santati Trail, turn left at the junction (instead of turning right to Cowtown) and take the paved road back to PauPau. The run leg will be to the end of La Fiesta and then they must turn right up to the million-gallon tank, turn left and run along the coral road behind MCC course, turn left and head down hill at the FEBC road, and turn left to Middle Road to return to PauPau.
For the Tagaman bike and run legs (rookie course), bikers will pedal up to Banzai and back to PauPau, while runners will go to as far as Marianas Resort and back to the start/finish line. In the short course, riders must go to Bird Island first before heading to Banzai and back to the finish line, while in the run leg, participants should go to FEBC sign before heading back to PauPau. In the full course, bikers must head to Bird Island, Grotto, and Banzai before returning at PauPau where they will start the run leg, race up to the Last Command Post, and head back to the finish line.
This week’s Enticer 3 is scheduled two weeks before the XTERRA Saipan Championship (March 24) kicks off. The Tagamn Triathlon will be next after XTERRA and is set for March 31. XTERRA and Tagaman course rides are scheduled for March 17 and 18, respectively.
