The Enforcers’ Tyrese Camacho is ahead in both the batting and pitching races in the Senior League division of the 2017 Saipan Little League Baseball, while his teammates also made it to the leaderboard.

Tyrese leads 15 others in the batting contest with his .529 average. After last March 12’s matches, Tyrese was 9-for-17 at the plate to become the only player with a batting average of at least .500. His two other teammates are in the Top 5 with Jode Reyes at third place (.384) and Jose Camacho at fourth (.375), while the Braves’ Joe Tudela (.400) and the Falcons’ Kimo Angailen (.333) are ranked second and fifth, respectively.

There is a six-way tie for the fifth to 10th place with Angailen sharing his spot with teammates Ace Evangelista and Spencer Dickinson, Larson Sebitang, Henry Aguon, and Andres Camacho. Others who made the cut (based on nine or more times at bat) were Kobe Lifoifoi (.312), Shakobe Rangamar (.294), Tindin Guerrero (.285), Dominic Yumul (.272), and Noel Cabrera (.250).

In the pitching competition, Camacho has the best ERA so far with 0.63 as he allowed only one run in 11 innings pitched. He leads the Blue Jays’ Jaydon Tenorio (0.87) and Sho Taguchi (0.87), the Falcons’ Jester Kintaro (1.31) and Noel Cabrera (1.90), and the Enforcers’ Rangamar (1.33). The pitching leaders are based on seven or more innings pitched.

Rangamar has the most strikeouts so far with 26, while Kintaro and Tyrese have 24 and 20, respectively. Tyrese is ahead in two more categories with his six runs and five RBIs. Lifoifoi tied Tyrese in the total RBIs scored.

Meanwhile, in the Junior League, the Braves’ J.P. Celis is on top of the pitching race with his 0.00 ERA as he did not yield a single run in 6.2 innings he worked the mound. The Comets’ Sab Saures and the Falcons’ Joel Norita are in second place with similar ERAs of 0.70 and are followed by the Braves’ Vicente Camacho (0.77), Henry Fleming (1.27), and Bing Nakamura (1.75).

Nakamura is ranked first in the batting contest with his average of .666 (6-for-9). He is the only player to post a batting average of more than .500. Joining the Comets’ slugger in the Top 5 are Tom Agulto (.500), Saures (.500), Kyle Kapileo (.454), Froilan Camacho (.454), Zeph Limes (.444), Kianna Aldan (.444), and A.J. Sanchez (.416).
