The Department of Public Works’ Energy Division will be celebrating Energy Awareness Month this October with the distribution of Home Energy Savings Kits.

The Energy Division staff will be on the following islands:

* Oct. 19-20, 2011 (Wednesday and Thursday), at the Tinian Mayor’s Office, from 9am to 4pm.

* Oct. 26-27, 2011 (Wednesday and Thursday), at the Rota Mayor’s Office, from 9am to 4pm.

* Nov. 7-10, 2011 (Monday to Thursday), at the Honorable Pedro P. Tenorio Multi- Purpose Center, from 9am to 4pm.

This promotion is available to all residential paying customers of the Commonwealth Utilities Corp. Those would like to receive the free items must provide a copy of their most current CUC utility bill.

The cornerstone of this campaign is to “Turn Words into Action, Turn Action into Results.”

Thelma B. Inos, director of the Energy Division, encourages everyone to conserve energy, empower others to take action, and join together to save energy and money.

This is made possible through a grant from the U.S. Department of Energy, State Energy Program, American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
