The Department of Public Works through the Energy Division Office will be hosting the 2014 Tinian Energy Awareness Campaign on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014, with two sessions (morning and afternoon) at the Tinian Gymnasium. The first session is from 9am to 11am; the second session is from 2pm to 4pm.

This event will provide the residential community tips on how to conserve energy at home and how to save money using efficient products that carry the Energy Star label and educate the community on the importance of energy conservation in the CNMI.

The Energy Division through its Energy, Education, and Efficiency and Conservation Program efforts, will be raffling either a 16” pedestal fan or portable stove for each attendee.

Due to limited seating, interested individuals must preregister with the CNMI Energy Division office to confirm attendance. Preregistration started yesterday, Oct. 27, and will end on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014. For more information and to register, call the Energy Division at 664-4480/1, Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 4:30pm. In addition, registered attendees will be required to present a valid photo ID and a copy of their most recent utility bill in their name to be allowed to participate in the sessions. Without a photo ID and recent CUC bill, interested participants will be turned away. (DPW)
