Empty Vessel Ministry thanks WIA

Empty Vessel Ministry Foundation is extending its gratitude to the Workforce Investment Agency for giving EVM volunteers the opportunity to be a part of their disaster dislocation grant program.

Director Rose Smith said, “There are no words that can fully express how much we at Empty Vessel Ministry Foundation appreciates WIA partnership.”

EVM commends Department of Labor Secretary Edith DeLeon Guerrero and Job Replacement Donyale De Leon Guerero for handling their jobs in a professional manner. “Deep gratitude and thankfulness for their jobs well-performed is sincerely expressed,” said Smith.

The disaster dislocation program is making a difference in the lives of the EVM staff as well as benefitting the clients they are aiding. EVM staff is receiving much needed training and financial assistance. Through this, full-time staff is now available to serve clients on a daily basis, including weekends.

EVM staff and volunteers have worked a total of 6,620.50 hours to assist clients, sort out donations, off-load containers, and distribute donated items.

“I’m so thankful for WIA for supporting us volunteers at EVM to be on payroll trainees. WIA you’re such a blessing to us at EVM. Thank you so much,” said Rufina Angui.

“WIA helped me financially to take care of myself. WIA was able to assist me to get computer class, and it was my first time to learn about computers,” said Topie Paongo.

“WIA is a blessing to us. Because of their assistance I am able to support my family and also can continue to assist people with their needs. Thank you WIA from the bottom of our hearts,” said Tabita Alokoa.
