Emon Lodge No. 179 to hold installation on Feb. 4
Emon Lodge No. 179 will hold its 26th installation of officers for Masonic year 2017-2018 on Feb. 4, 2017, at the Royal Taga Hall of the Saipan World Resort.
Wilfredo “Boy” G. Ching will be replacing Pepe R. Crisostomo as Worshipful Master of Emon Lodge No. 179’s Free and Accepted Masons.
Others elected for senior posts are Lito Espino, senior warden; Arnel Metran, junior warden; Romeo Malasarte, secretary; Casiano Bostre, treasurer; and Daniel Banez, auditor.
Appointed officers that will also be sworn in: Carlon Eslaban, chaplain; Isagani Benoza, marshal; Wendell Posadas, senior deacon; Joel Subang, junior deacon; Pepe Cristomo, lecturer; Pete Reyes, orator; Saturnino Alciso Jr., almoner; Victor Brana, organist; Joselito Arce, tyler; Val Bolivar, senior steward; and Leo Canedo, junior steward.
Ching said the installing team will be led by installing officer Juanito B. Vaño, a retired two-star general; master of ceremonies Dennis J. Peña, a retired police general; and assistant master of ceremonies Romeo G. Gan, a retired major general of the Philippine Army. Musical director will be businessman James A Olayvar.
Also flying in from Manila is The Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of the Philippines Grand Master Voltaire Gazmin, who was the 35th secretary of the Philippines’ Department of National Defense. He will serve as the guest speaker.
