There will be an emergency water service interruption today, Feb. 11, 2021, from 8:30am to 4:30pm for customers of the Commonwealth Utilities Corp. in the areas of Upper and Lower Navy Hill, Upper Miha Housing, and China Town. Customers in the Chalan Galaide and As Falape areas will receive water on Friday, Feb. 12, 2021, at 6am.

This is due to a 6-inch transmission waterline leak on Coastal Drive near the Maui 4 Shaft Well in Sadog Tasi. Water service to the affected areas is anticipated to be restored after the repairs are made but CUC customers in the Chalan Galaide and As Falape area are projected to receive water on Friday, Feb. 12, 2021, to allow ample time for the Calhoun Water Tanks to fill up.

For the safety of the men and women at the jobsite, motorists are advised to proceed with caution and/or take alternate routes as a portion of the roadway will be closed during the repair. (PR)
