There is currently an emergency water service interruption for customers in the areas of Oleai, portions of Susupe (residents living between Sugar Dock and Texas Road) and portions of Chalan Laulau Beach Road (residents living between Atkins Kroll and the new Bank of Saipan building).

The emergency water interruption is a result of damage to a 6-inch water line caused by the CUC contractor, Hong Ye Construction, according to a Commonwealth Utilities Corp. statement yesterday evening. The CUC statement said that Hong Ye is currently making the necessary repairs and anticipate completion today, Sept. 29, at 6am. “However, please allow an hour or two for water to fully pressurize to the homes,” CUC said. Customers should expect restoration of water services soon after.

For the safety of the men and women at the jobsite, motorists are asked to proceed with caution when traveling through the working area as the northbound outer lane fronting Zoom Café in Susupe is currently closed for the repairs.

For more information, contact the CUC Hotline (236-4333) or monitor our Facebook page for the latest updates. (PR)
