Emergency power interruption this afternoon

As part of the power and water restoration efforts in the wake of Typhoon Dolphin, the Commonwealth Utilities Corp. will conduct an emergency power interruption to replace a power pole cross arm severely damaged during the storm.

At 2:30pm, CUC will turn off Feeder 1 (second partial), which provides power to the Kristo Rai church, Garapan Elementary School, Garapan, Flores Rosa St., Upper Miha, and the northern side of China Town, to allow linemen safe access to replace the damaged cross arm.

The traffic lights in front of Pretty Tour and JG Sablan Water along Chalan Pale Arnold will be affected by the temporary service interruption. Work on the project is expected to take three hours to complete, at which time power will be restored to the area.
