ELECTION UPDATE: Torres leads Tinian votes

For the gubernatorial race on Tinian, Gov. Ralph DLG Torres and his running mate, Sen. Vinnie Vinson F. Sablan, got 204 votes from early votes and 342 from on-island votes, for a total of 546 votes. Rep. Christina E. Sablan and her running mate, Rep. Leila F. Staffler, received 102 from early votes and 57 from on-island votes, for a total of 159. Lt. Gov. Arnold I. Palacios and his running mate, Saipan Mayor David M. Apatang, obtained 59 early votes and 35 from on-island votes, for a total of 94 votes, according to sources from Tinian who got the unofficial preliminary counts.
