Educating the youth for 2014

Mr. Welch, thanks for your letter defending Mr. Olopai but I don’t understand what it has to do with education. Chronic psychosocial stress (chronic poverty to you) is the reason, also known as the rich class and the “everybody else class”—not good grandpas, not two-parent households. My point is, Lino Olopai is not doing his part in educating the young people of Saipan for 2014, and when I say young people, I mean young Carolinians because that’s who he means.

I asked 10 high school students on Tuesday, June 3, what they knew about Article 12. Only one, yes, just one, knew what it was; he was a Filipino. The rest had never heard of it—just another example of the education system here and in the homes of people on Saipan. Filipinos all know what it is because it affects them daily. Some locals don’t want their kids to know because their kids might not like it. Some indoctrinate their kids for or against it.

I actually see Lino almost every day at the library, on a computer for hours. Computers are OK for him but he, apparently, doesn’t see the need for them for his “lower class” (poor) people. To me, this is just another “upper class” (rich) ploy to keep the masses in check. If you can control information, communication and technology, you can pretty much control Saipan, the United States of America, or the world. Just imagine the money the rich NMDs will make off your former land when Article 12 is repealed or there are not enough people with enough NMD blood to qualify.

Mr. Welch, It would be good if you provide the link to the studies you mentioned because American Psychological Society studies will be a lot different than Focus on the Family studies. When I want to learn anything about coconut trees, the tree of life or anything else that has ever been or thought of until one minute ago, I YouTube it. Have a great day, Mr. Welch, and if you have kids, get them a touch screen tablet and a WiFi connection so they can get all sides to every opinion and story.
