E-Land Corp. recently donated several items to the Tonga community on Saipan for their drive to ship a container of relief goods to Tonga, which was recently devastated by the eruption of the Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha’apai underwater volcano.
According to Corporate Social Responsibility manager Lindsay Ahn, E-Land donated one pallet of bottled water (100 cases), four cases of hand sanitizers (112 bottles), and 100 packs of 10-lb rice.
All of the items were delivered to Life in the Son Christian Fellowship church last Friday, Feb. 25, Ahn said in an email. Fololina Pua, a Clubmate at Pacific Islands Club Saipan’s Sports, Entertainment and Activity department, whose father is from Tonga, joined the occasion.
She said the management of E-Land wishes for the safety and health of people of Tonga, and their fast recovery.
E-Land operates three hotels on Saipan: PIC Saipan, Kensgton Hotel Saipan, and Coral Ocean Point golf resort in Koblerville.
According to wire reports, 293 houses, the majority in Tongatapu, have been damaged or affected by the volcanic eruption and tsunami in Tonga last Jan. 15. (Saipan Tribune)
