The Department of Public Safety will be conducting DUI/sobriety checkpoints on Rota the dates and times listed below:

Friday, Dec. 5, 2014

First setup: 7pm to 8:15pm, San Francisco Highway, Chaliat area.

Second setup: 10pm to 11:15pm San Francisco Highway, Pinatang area.

Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014

First setup: 7pm to 8:15pm, San Francisco Highway by Teteto Beach area.

Second setup: 10am to 11:15am San Francisco Highway by Lotgan area.

Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014

First setup: 7pm to 8:15pm San Francisco Highway by Sinapalo 2 park area.

Second setup: 10pm to 11:15pm San Francisco Highway by Sonton area.

Third setup: 1am to 2:15am San Francisco Highway by Pinatang area.

Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014

First setup: 7pm to 8:15pm San Francisco Highway by Igua area.

Second setup: 10pm to 11:15pm San Francisco Highway by Lotgan area.

Friday, Dec. 19, 2014

First setup: 7pm to 8:15pm San Francisco Highway by Teteto beach area.

Second setup: 10pm to 11:15pm San Francisco Highway by Igua area.

Third setup: 1am to 2:15am San Francisco Highway by Pinatang park area.

Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014

First setup: 9pm to 10:15pm San Francisco Highway by Chaliat area.

Second setup: 12am to 1:15am San Francisco Highway by Sonton area.

Friday, Dec. 26, 2014

First setup: 7pm to 8:15pm San Francisco Highway by Sonton area.

Second setup: 10pm to 11:15pm San Francisco Highway by Sinapalo 2 park area.

Third setup: 1am to 2:15am San Francisco Highway by Lotgan area.

Saturday, Dec. 27, 2014

First setup: 7pm to 8:15pm San Francisco Highway by Sinapalo 2 park area.

Second setup: 10pm to 11:15pm San Francisco Highway by Teteto beach area.

Third setup: 1am to 2:15am San Francisco Highway by Pinatang area.

Each checkpoint will last at least 75 minutes (1 hour and 15 minutes). This activity is part of the department’s effort to Deter, detect and apprehend impaired drivers, and to ensure that all passengers are wearing proper restraining devices, seatbelts or car seats.

In addition, traffic and patrol officers will be conducting highway criminal interdictions, saturation patrols, aggressive driver interdictions, and laser (speed detection) enforcement.
