Dracula play at PIC
The Mount Carmel Theatre Club will be staging the Bram Stoker classic, Dracula, at the Pacific Islands Club on Oct. 21 and 22, with doors opening at 6:30pm.
The director of the play is Brianna Hunter. Jaqueline Doctor is the stage manager, Elijah Camacho is floor manager, Rosa Castro is art director, Erika Mendiola is business manager, You Jin Kim is tech director, and William Blake Deleon Guerrero is the soundboard operator.
This will be Hunter’s first foray as play director. She has been with the MCH Theatre Club since she was in 8th grade.
“Before this I have never been a crewmember, I’ve always just acted in plays. Every once in a while, they [Theatre Club] think that switching things up such as having actors becoming directors. So it was really cool that I was given this opportunity,” she said.
Zeno Deleon Guerrero Jr. will play the role of Dracula. The rest of the cast are Abraham Van Helsing played by Michael Ortizo, Dr. Seward played by Jeff Matthew Melchor, John Harker played by Jose Castro, R. M. Renfield played by Kelvin Cepeda, Lucy Seward played by Monica Aira Usi, Mrs. Wells played by Jonelle Toskas, and Butterworth played by William Minami.
The art crew is composed of Andrea Bang, Risa Hirayama, Cassidy Torre, Kayla Sabla, Antonia Reye, Angel Miki Takayama, and Keona Camacho.
The floor crew members are Joseph Muna, John Diego Masga, Edward Minam, Jacob Sablan, Jan Travilla, and Karleen Reyes.
Tickets to the show are $15 for premium seats and $5 for general admission. The play will be held at Charley’s Cabaret in PIC. Tickets will be available at the Mount Carmel School Business Office.
