DPS responds to 66 active calls over weekend

This past weekend, the CNMI Department of Public Safety responded to 66 active calls on Saipan and made eight arrests.

From 11pm on Friday, June 14, 2019 through 11pm on Sunday, June 16, 2019, DPS officers responded to 911 calls and were dispatched to 66 different cases, which include an auto-related incident, a burglary, a civil matter, criminal mischief, a disturbing the peace incident, a domestic violence incident, a driving under the influence case, an illegal possession case, an incident related to property damage, and theft. CNMI DPS officers arrested eight individuals for crimes including driving under the influence, domestic violence, disturbing the peace, illegal possession, and criminal mischief.

DPS highly encourages the public to call 911 anytime to report a crime or an emergency. (PR)
