Man arrested for disturbing the peace, assault, assault with a dangerous weapon, and tampering with a vehicle

On Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2020, at about 10:01pm, the CNMI Department of Public Safety received a 911 call reporting a disturbance in the village of Papago, Saipan.

At the scene, police met with the individuals involved and learned that the incident occurred at Raymond Fitipol Adolfo’s residence. A female individual had gone to the house to get her belongings but Adolfo refused to give them to her. At this time Adolfo heard a loud vehicle revving just down the road so he went to check. Adolfo then noticed the female’s prior acquaintance in a vehicle. Adolfo stated that the vehicle began approaching him so he picked up a rock and threw it at the vehicle’s front windshield, damaging it. Adolfo stated that after he had thrown the rock, he noticed his two kids in the vehicle as well.

Adolfo was arrested for disturbing the peace, and assault with a dangerous weapon. He was transported to the Department of Corrections where he was booked and detained.

On the same day, a Rule 5 was signed and authorized by Superior Court Associate Judge Teresa Kim-Tenorio for the charges of disturbing the peace, assault, assault with a dangerous weapon, and tampering with a vehicle with a cash bail of $10,000. At about 7:40pm on the same day, Adolfo was served at the Department of Corrections where he was being detained. (PR)

Man arrested for assault and battery in Sadog Tasi

On Friday, Nov. 27, 2020, at about 10:59am, the CNMI Department of Public Safety received a 911 call reporting an assault on one of the employees of the Mobil gas station in Sadog Tasi, Saipan.

At the scene, police met with the victim who stated that she had been struck at the back of the head twice by an individual by the name of Omar Nawaz who lives in the area. Police learned that Nawaz was at the southwestern parking lot arguing with his brother when the victim went outside to check if they were okay. As the victim was walking toward the two brothers, Nawaz then yelled at the victim and as she turned to go back inside the gas station Nawaz smacked the victim’s head twice from behind.

On Friday, Dec. 18, 2020, an arrest warrant was signed and authorized by Superior Court Associate Judge Teresa Kim-Tenorio for the arrest of Nawaz for the charges of disturbing the peace, and assault and battery with a cash bail of $5,000. On the same day, Nawaz was arrested and transported to the Department of Corrections where he was booked and detained. (PR)
