The CNMI Department of Public Safety has belied reports of a store robbery that reportedly occurred over the weekend on Saipan, which was reportedly caught on security video that was being circulated online.

In a statement yesterday, DPS said there were no reports of such a store robbery over the weekend. DPS officers were dispatched to check on all stores and to follow up if this incident took place. Officers met with store owners who assured the department that the incident did not occur in their stores.

The CNMI Department of Public Safety would like to remind the public to only share official and accurate information of verified notices, press releases, and advisories from official sources. (PR)
