DPS brings anti-bullying campaign to SCS

Saipan Community School hosted Department of Public Safety police officers Nick Leon Guerrero and Dee Udui on Tuesday and Wednesday this week for the CNMI’s “Stop Bullying” campaign.

The elementary school—Kindergarten to 5th grade—assembled in the school chapel on Tuesday to participate in Leon Guerrero’s anti-bullying presentation, while the junior high students—grades 6 to 8—assembled for the same presentation on Wednesday.

The students learned how to identify bullying, to stand up to bullies, and to report any acts of bullying anywhere they are. The officers made it very clear to the students that bullying is not tolerated in the CNMI and that students may contact them at any time for help without fear of retaliation by a bully.

“Thank you to the Department of Public Safety and police officers Nick and Dee for bringing awareness and tools to stop bullying at Saipan Community School,” said Saipan Community School principal Bobby Winkfield. (PR)
