Dove remains committed to the development of women’s soccer in the CNMI as it extended its sponsorship to the program.

D&Q Saipan resident manager Max Kretzers and regional sales manager Marilyn Marron presented the $10,000 check to Northern Mariana Islands Football Association Executive Committee member and Women’s Committee chair Patricia Coleman to reiterate Dove’s support to the women’s league named after the beauty products brand and other activities under the CNMI women’s soccer program. D&Q Saipan is the distributor of Dove and other Unilever products on the islands.

NMIFA president Jerry Tan, NMIFA technical director Michiteru Mita, CNMI women’s national team coach Luam Khen Koo, and other officials of the federation and NMIFA Women’s Committee witnessed the donation turnover ceremony held yesterday at the NMIFA office in Garapan.

“We are very thankful to have the continued support of Dove to our women’s soccer program. Dove’s message resonates with all of us and that is beauty comes in different shapes, sizes, ages, and stages,” Coleman said.

Dove has been the CNMI women’s program’s partner since 2015 and has played a crucial role in the growth and popularity of the sports among women—youth and adults alike.

“We are so blessed to have Dove as a supporter not only of the sport, but also in the development of women in a very positive way,” said Coleman, who plays in various women’s soccer competitions on island and also coaches teams.

For his part, Kretzers said supporting the women’s league is a perfect fit for Dove.

“We can’t find better reason to share the brand’s money but to the sport and the program that everyone can benefit from. This is just right, we have a quality brand that works with a quality program,” Kretzers said.

Some members of the CNMI women’s national team training pool were also present at the donation turnover ceremony and expressed their appreciation to Dove.

“On behalf of the CNMI female players, we would like to thank Dove for their endless generosity. Having sponsors like them inspire us players to work hard every training day and game and encourage us to stay in the program because we know that we always have their support and they are looking after our development,” Mia Carreon said.

Meanwhile, the spring season of the Dove Women’s League will kick off next month.
