Don Farrell featured in Sunday radio program

This Sunday’s “Your Humanities Half-Hour” radio program will feature historian Don Farrell, author of Tinian and the Bomb: Project Alberta and Operation Centerboard.

Farrell’s book chronicles the important and often overlooked role Tinian in the Marianas played in the atomic bombing of Japan at the end of World War II.

As part of the Manhattan Project, Project Alberta and Operation Centerboard, Tinian was integral in the plan to drop atomic bombs on Japan.

The book, now available on Amazon.com and at the American Memorial Park bookstore, captures this history as gathered from documents and images held in the National Archives.

“Your Humanities Half-Hour” radio program, which airs each Sunday from 2pm to 2:30pm on Power 99, is hosted by Catherine R. Perry. (PR)
