The CNMI Department of Labor would like to inform the business community, government agencies, and the general public that it will host a virtual conference on Monday, June 15, 2020, to provide an update on the status of the Pandemic Unemployment Assistance and Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation programs here in the CNMI.

The virtual conference, which will be held via the computer application Zoom, is from 9am to 10am.

It will also feature the general guidelines for completing Phase I and II of the program:

Phase I: Business registration and the registration of employees by respective businesses through HireMarianas.com

Phase II: The benefits application process for claimants through HireMarianas.com.

For businesses planning to join the Zoom meeting, pre-registration for this meeting is required. Pre-register at https://tinyurl.com/CNMIPUAWebinar.

Because the Zoom meeting has a limit of 100 participants, the CNMI DOL will be streaming this virtual conference live on Facebook through the CNMI Office of the Governor Facebook page. CNMI DOL encourages both employers and employees to watch via Facebook at www.facebook.com/GovernorCNMI/.

CNMI DOL upgraded its HireMarianas.com portal, a Virtual One-Stop System used by DOL’s Workforce Investment Agency to register, track, and manage its clients, and to incorporate the modules needed for PUA/FPUC functions. The system is used both regionally and nationally and has advanced security measures with a strong focus on data Confidentiality, Availability, and Integrity.
