DOI awards $340K to GovGuam

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Delegate Madeleine Z. Bordallo (D-GU) announced yesterday that the U.S. Department of Interior’s Office of Insular Affairs has awarded the Government of Guam Department of Agriculture $340,000 to assist with brown tree snake eradication.

The Department of Agriculture Division of Aquatic and Wildlife Resources Control Program has received $190,000 and the DAWR Public Awareness Campaign has received $150,000. The grant period will run from August 2014 until September 2016 and was awarded under the authority of Public Law 113-76 The Consolidated Appropriation Act of 2014.
