Bernie Dizon was named champion at the 2019 Pistang Pinoy singing competition last Sunday at the Marianas Business Plaza.
As the winner, Dizon pocketed $300.
Dizon is no stranger to the Pistang Pinoy singing competition, having won second place in last year’s singing competition.
Coming in second place was John Singson, who was awarded $200. Completing the Top 3 was Ronilo De Belen, who was awarded $100.
This year’s singing contest had a twist: the requirement to join the competition was to be 45 years old or older.
Another Sunday highlight was the dance competition, which followed the singing contest. The competition was open to children, adults, and the elderly who wanted to showcase their talents and win a couple of hundred dollars.
The first place winner was the Marianas High School Filipino Club, which was awarded $500.
In second place was the Silver Stepper group, which was awarded $300.
