Diabetes coalition sets membership meeting
The Commonwealth Diabetes Coalition is scheduling their general membership meeting on Friday, Jan. 9, 2015, at the Office on Aging conference room from 10am to 11:30am. All CDC members as well as interested individuals, organizations, partner agencies from government and non-government, and faith-based organizations are invited to attend this meeting and advocate for diabetes.
The CNMI faces continuing economic challenges and diabetes is a growing epidemic and one that is preventable through proper food choices, consistent exercise and moderate positive lifestyle changes. As advocates, members of our community, and concerned citizens of our beautiful islands it is imperative that we all combat this epidemic.
Let us all join efforts in increasing our community’s awareness of the serious impact of diabetes and other non-communicable diseases on our families; our social structure; our economy; and our people.
