DFS supports 2022 Mini Games in the CNMI

DFS Group, the world’s leading luxury travel retailer, was proud to be a platinum sponsor of the Northern Marianas Pacific Mini Games 2022, which was held in Saipan for the first time from June 17 to  25 2022.

The Pacific Mini Games is a multi sporting event contested by 19 countries and territories across the Pacific region. Over 1,400 talented competitors and spectators traveled to the CNMI to participate in the 2022 Games. Athletes competed amongst each other in nine different sports—athletics, badminton, baseball, beach volleyball, golf, tennis, triathlon, va’a, and weightlifting.

T Galleria by DFS, Saipan donated over $100,000 to contribute to this historic sporting event that brought competitors from different countries together to help support and strengthen regional relations. The donation included $50,000 in cash and more than $50,000 in in-kind donations. In addition, T Galleria distributed welcome gift bags and gift certificates to all participants and officials of the Mini Games.

To celebrate the conclusion of the Games, T Galleria hosted a special cocktail event on June 25 to congratulate the winning athletes and officials for their hard work and successes, attended by DFS representatives and local authorities.

“We are truly thankful for DFS Group who has donated a generous sum of $100,000, and have teamed up to present the athletes with souvenir bags as well as increasing their hours Friday through Sunday until 9pm. Their extension of kindness works toward the improvement of the Mini Games and the enjoyment of the attendees, participants, and all those involved. “Thanks to DFS’ support, the Northern Marianas Pacific Mini Games can continue to bring the people of the Pacific together, strengthening our ties and celebrating our commonalities and our diversity. DFS has been a business partner in the Northern Marianas for many years and we are grateful for their donation and partnership,” said Vicente “Ben” Babauta, Northern Marianas Pacific Mini Games Organizing Committee CEO.
