Desperation and complaints lead to nothing

I don’t understand these people. First they complained and when USCIS came and addressed that complaint, they complain again. Please, stop these complaining! Instead, seek guidance and help. You’re not the only one worrying about the changes. Even us-the business community, local residents, widows, spouses with children, and service providers-all of us too are worried about our needs that the USCIS did not see. We are worried of what’s going to happen after Nov. 27.

Right now, these are some of the problems that we worry about:

* Are business owners able to pay the unpaid salaries that they still need to pay?
* Are employees able to collect their unpaid salaries?
* For working parents who rely on an affordable domestic helper for childcare and household maintenance, where are we going to get these labor and are we able to afford them?
* Is our struggling economy going to get better or worse after Nov. 27?
* Our government, which also relies on experts, are we able to hire affordable replacements?
* Are we ready for the transition from low wages to federal minimum wage?
* Do we have enough qualified individuals to replace those who are leaving?
* Some of these U.S. citizen children might not be able to afford going home. What is going to happen to them? You know that we are responsible for all U.S. citizens.
* With the short notification of USCIS regulation, everything is being rushed and you know what rushing can cause. Remember, when the Secretary of the Interior rushed the report to grant improved status?
* Is the CNMI Department of Labor ready to help us with our employment needs? I mean, with the new regulation, don’t you think they need training to transition from the old to new system?
* Can our lawmakers address our needs to transition from the old system to the new?
* Who will be responsible for paying the unpaid bills of those who are leaving?

There might be more. So those of you who are desperate for answers, stop complaining and start seeking for guidance and help. Haven’t you learned your lesson, paying for something that leads to nothing?

May God help us all find the answers to our questions and needs.
