Share

On Monday, the Department of Fire and Emergency Management Services sent its Search and Rescue unit with Engine 1 from the Kagman Station to the smoldering fire in Kagman. The fire is a deep-seated fire and is in very unstable terrain.

The Department of Fire and EMS is aware of the smoke and we are working with other agencies to try and mitigate the problem. Bureau of Environmental and Coastal Quality, DFEMS, and the Saipan Mayor’s Office advise those with respiratory problems to stay indoors to prevent further odors and smoke from entering the home.
