The Japanese Community School of Saipan and the Saipan Awaodori Team received special commemorative books as gifts from Delta Air Lines last Feb. 18 at the Paseo de Marianas.

The 90 books that were published in Japan commemorate the visit of Delta’s sales executives and other top officials on Saipan last December.

“Delta donated some exclusive books to [JCSS] as a token of our appreciation for their hospitality shown when our leadership team held meetings on Saipan in December 2015,” said Delta sales account executive Chris A. Concepcion.

JCSS students and the Saipan Awaodori Team participated in the annual Christmas in the Marianas Festival at the Paseo de Marianas.

The book contains the unique artwork made by CNMI students that were displayed at the Paseo de Marianas during the Christmas festival.

“Delta collected the artwork and sought a publishing company in Japan that was able to feature the artwork along with some photos of the event in an exclusive book,” Concepcion said.

Concepcion presented the books to the students and to PDM officials led by Misako Kamata, Aya Matsumoto, Ryusuke Asakura, Hideaki Sawada, and Takahiro Omori.
